For the Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as low as 32 expected. * WHERE...Chesterfield, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lee, Newberry, Northern Lancaster, and Southern Lancaster Counties. * WHEN...For the Lake Wind Advisory, until 9 AM EST Friday. For the Freeze Warning, from 3 AM to 9 AM EST Friday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft. In addition, frost and freeze conditions could kill crops or other sensitive vegetation. Boaters on area lakes should use extra caution since strong winds and rough waves can overturn small craft. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
